Auditions
The Audition
1. You will be asked to participate in a group dance/movement audition.
2. You will be asked to present a memorized monologue, chosen from a selection provided to you by TYMTC once you have emailed your audition registration form.
3. You will be asked to sing a song by memory, from standard musical theatre repertoire, with piano accompaniment. An accompanist will be provided.
4. You will have a short personal interview with the audition panel.
Candidates will be notified of their results by telephone within one week of their audition.
What To Bring
1. Please bring the piano accompaniment for your song.
2. Please bring your prepared monologue selection.
3. Wear comfortable clothing to move freely in, and be sure to wear shoes that you can dance in. No high heels or heavy boots, please.
4. A bottle of water and a snack.
5. 8 x 10 photo, if available, otherwise no smaller than 4 x 6. NOTE: Photos will NOT be returned.
6. A parent or legal guardian MUST remain at the audition site during the candidate’s entire audition.
